Tips for Selling in a Buyers Market

We are currently in a buyers market so if you need to sell your property you’ll need every advantage you can get to make your property the one that gets sold.

When preparing your property for sale there are a few things you can do to make your listing as successful, valuable and fast as possible. The best way to prepare is to get a pre-listing inspection done on the property. This is a proactive step that will provide you with important information about the condition of your property. A pre-listing inspection allows you to;

  • Uncover any major issues that will be flagged when the prospective buyer gets an inspection. This gives you the opportunity to rectify anything to ensure you do not lose a sale.
  • Provide a full disclosure document to all prospective purchasers. This means that down the track when the buyer is having a final walk through and they discover some issue, as long as you have included it in this document there is no need for you to rectify the issue, as you gave them the data previously.
  • Promote the full features and excellent condition of your property. Your home might be in excellent condition and have unique and valuable features. A detailed inspection report will provide confidence to a purchaser about the condition of your property and offer positive reinforcement.
