I reached out to 3 Perth building and pest inspection firms for a phone-back, to get a quote for pre-purchase due diligence on a property. Justin from Resicert was the only one that phoned back - he did it on the same day. He answered my newbie-at-this questions on the phone and also told me his available day/times for inspection. He followed up with an email quote, which I accepted by email. The next day, he scheduled the inspection directly with the seller’s agent, and confirmed to me by email that it would take place in 2 business days.

The inspection for both building and pests went ahead as scheduled and the report was sent to me within 24 hours as promised, and it contained all the detail (including photos) that I was expecting,

Happy that the pest report did not find any active pests, but also happy that it explained the full context of the inspection and findings.

As a result, I made certain pre-settlement remediation requests of the seller, which were not challenged and were implemented.

Our Inspection report was thorough and clear with comments. The report was easy to read allowing us to immediately pick up what needed to be referred to the home owner for rectification and what we would need to test during our final inspection. The report went further to provide what we would need to do with respect to one-off or ongoing maintenance going forward, and the Inspector undertook checks of things that we would never have thought to do. The report allowed us to continue with the purchase of the home with our eyes wide open, confident that we were aware of any potential issues. This gave us peace of mind that we were buying a well maintained property.

Scheduling for the inspection was smooth and convenient. Vikram was available on WhatsApp calls and messages which was important for us as we are away from Australia. The inspection report was detailed covering many photos and descriptions of the observations. Overall pleased with the service.
